Hello there, and welcome here. I am Ridwan Adelaja –Penspeak, Eridwana or simply Olyrid. Three quick keys that define me –I write; I speak; I train. Of course, it has been God and the result for which today I pride as Winner, 2017 Ken Egba Poetry Festival Prize, a Tedx Event Manager, a News Reporter, a Content Developer and a go-to Poetry Guardian. It is that amazing, yes. It however suffices to know for now that this page – My Crib – covering a portion on Quill Kastle is a dedicated space for my art. So, feel free to explore and adventure around the circle of my thoughts as they are only clicks away. Enough said!
The poem this time is titled: Letter to a Friend …and I hope you do enjoy it. However, if you are like my old self – before my poetic rebirth – who hated poetry so much and found it as an entire disgusting arrangement of words, I recommend you read this wonderful article from CliffsNotes on what poetry is about. Just read: we never can tell, you might right be on your way to becoming a poetry enthusiast like many of Quill Kastle readers or even going on to transforming to become another award winning poet like myself.
It is simple: if a Ridwan could do it, you too can! So, feel free to engage me in the comment session if you have any queries. Okay now, the poem is Borrowed Thought. ENJOY!
LETTER TO A FRIEND
My friend, crave…
Mind your time, please save…
Are mere wave…
Be calm, be kind, be brave…
Forget the grave –
That lonely and mustful cave!
PS: The usual INTRO on all my poems is for new visitors on Quill Kastle. Long time existing readers can simply bypass. Thank you again for taking your time to read my poem.
